We confuse ourselves with the idea of ourselves, we'd been told that's what we are. That sense of inner self-worth which is a mental construct that governs our relationships with others can trick us all the time with continuous fear of lack, victimisation and unworthiness. The ultimate goal of all spiritual practice is balancing the ego in the journey toward expanded awareness, reconnection and love. Let's journal to know and be ourselves with self-observation to recognise the ego to dissolve to reconnect to our true selves.
